Accreditation:
Maine
Maritime
Academy
is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Engineering Technology and Engineering degrees are also accredited
by the American Board for Engineering and Technology, which is the
generally required standard of engineering education looked for by
employers and graduate schools. The
Coast Guard has approved MMA’s license programs for the internationally
required Service, Training, Competency , and Watchstanding standards
2.
The Regiment is an organization which features leadership
and management training, structured
training environment, a
time management program and a personal development program.
Students in the Regiment must wear uniforms, live on campus, and
abide by Regiment rules, but this is not a military program and there is
no after-college service obligation.
